From David Gleave, Regional Secretary of East Anglian Region:
The Ipswich ‘Blessed John Duns Scotus’ Fraternity were pleased to host the East Anglian Regional Day of Recollection at St Mary’s Church and Hall, Ipswich, on Saturday 29th September on the Feast of Ss. Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Archangels. We had the great joy of celebrating the Rite of Profession for Brenda Teresa Corker ofs. The St Mary’s Music Group joined us for the Mass and led us in some uplifting hymns. Fr Dónal Walsh OFM, National Spiritual Assistant, celebrated the Mass, assisted by Deacon Clive Brooks ofs, a member of the Ipswich ‘Blessed John Duns Scotus’ Fraternity. Fr Dónal gave inspiring talks both in the morning and the afternoon, drawing on his experience as a friar and a hospital chaplain at Ipswich and Glasgow Hospitals. We were delighted that many members from across the Region, parishioners from Brenda’s St Thomas of Canterbury Parish, Woodbridge, and St Mary’s Parish, attended the Day and witnessed the profession.
